Comfort Food

“Comfort foods may be consumed to positively pique emotions, to relieve negative psychological effects or to increase positive feelings.”

Comfort Food is an ongoing series, a photographic study of shape, color, texture and space in the context of the nostalgia of something we all experience and desire from time to time.  We all have a favorite comfort food dish; it feels good, it is warm, it offers a sense of home, memories.  What we call comfort food isn’t the food we eat every day, but we eat it when we need to…when we need a feeling of comfort.  From Wikipedia, “Comfort food is traditionally eaten food which often provides a nostalgic or sentimental feeling to the person eating it, frequently with a high carbohydrate level and a simple preparation.
